I went for a walk yesterday in the afternoon and took some pics of the former amusement park "Plänterwald". Seems like it is a popular place for (mostly English speaking) people to take photos. They came in droves!

Da werde ich gleich ganz wehmütig. Der Plänterwald war ein tolles Ausflugsziel als meine Mädels noch klein waren. Ich habe bis heute nicht gewußt, dass die das alles vergammeln lassen. Macht mich bissel traurig:(

The place is closed since 2001. So sad.

Wow, that's really cool. I mean it's really sad that it's been closed down, but it makes for some really excellent pictures.
There's just something really sad and organic about things children should be playing on but they're overgrown and forgotten.

It's so sad because first they took so much effort to modernize all the stuff. Economy is put over anything nowadays.

I like the way nature is taking over the rides, like growing over the horses in the Kentucky ride .. sort of creepy also :)

There was a huge theme park about 15 mins drive from me that closed down a few years ago, perhaps I should visit :) Ahh, but it would be all dust there I think as was all open it used to get so very hot there. Yeah, guess it would be a dustbowl and not green and lovely like that.

"Green and lovely"?? Hahaha, it was a rather greyish day. November is the ugliest month here :)
