Thanks, PS I redid the file above as I received new info - they didn't go to the Netherlands at all (mixed up with a place in Belgium) they are just making a beeline for eastern europe (which was expected). Ewen sent me a long list of locations they've been so their route is very clear. :-)

i couldn't open it. something about winzip, then an error. :-(

winzip should definitely not come into it, the file is not zipped. You have google earth? you can open it from google earth too. If you save it to your desktop, then from google earth go to file>open>desktop, select the kmz file, and it should open up into your temporary google earth files.
