You could still try a salon they do hair for men too.

Yeah I'll look around on payday and ask for advice, if salon's don't have what I have I shall see about where else I can go... :o

I...have no advice. I mean, my hair is almost waist length and I don't use any hair products but hairspray and that's only at faire.

So...good luck with your experimentation. And I think your best bet is just suck it up and go into a barber shop. Spy on one to see when it is not as busy to keep the awkwardness down to a minimum?

It's not too big of a deal about going into a barber shop. XD Just that people always assume I'm a man at first, and are willing to help, then I start talking and they are set aback a little and there's the stage of awkwardness. But, good customer service reps do their best to help a customer no matter who they are, and I haven't run into anyone being a jerk to me about it.

But it must be nice to have hair and not have to use product on it, lol. ;_; My hair was once like that... long ago. XD

I probably should use something to keep down the frizz that is my hair, but honestly, I'm a fucking lazy bitch when it comes to hair. It's why I only wear my hair two ways. In a pony tail or in a bun.

And your tale of awkwardness reminds me of something that happened at work. My coworker went to help a customer, thinking she was a man. Oops. But that wouldn't have been an issue if my coworker hadn't just walked away after initial inquiries. And then she was telling me and I was like, 'So what. Why didn't you finish helping her find a watch for her wife?'

I facepalmed that day.
