Robert Novak followed my lead in starting to think about who Rodham-Clinton's VP will be.  He seems to have spent the weekend writing half a dozen articles for various newspapers about how Clinton supporters don't think its a good idea to put Obama on the ticket, and to put the gov. of Va. there instead.  Nothing more about this other guy.  Just ( Read more... )

By gov. of Va. are we talking Warner? There was all this hype awhile ago about the Idea of him running for president. I actually think that he would have made a good president, so I fully support the Idea of him being vice president. He really turned Virginia around in a positive way after Gilmore completely screwed us over with his "let's get rid of the car tax, but not think about replacing it with anything" nonsense.

Though I do like Kaine better, even though he did support the new $1,000 dollar fine for getting pulled over for going more than 20 miles per hour over the speed limit. I know that the whole Idea is to fix the disaster that is the Northern Virginia Road System of DOOM, but 1,000 dollars is a LOT of money, and keeping people in lockup until they pay the first installment is just plain mean. And this fine is on top of the actual ticket. Which is why I am getting a Maryland drivers license as soon as I possibly can, because it doesn't apply to non Virginia residents. (Sorry for the rant.)

cool. a lot of good information. i guess while my vote in the primaries will probably go to Obama, it sounds like Warner would be fine, and at heart i still would just be happy with any Democratic ticket winning the overall election.
