So we all know about the peaceful protestors being maced in their faces. Well now we have a guy who was punched in the face by an officer, (he said the officer better go get tested for HIV since the punch drew blood) and a legal observer who has been run over by an officer on a scooter (he is now in police custody in the emergency room ( Read more... )

About the second one; I read it ran over the tip of his foot. No actual "pinned under/broken leg".

They are protesting against many things: all of the people without healthcare, without jobs, without homes, because the economy was damaged by corrupt bank practices. While the banks are making record profits and have gone unpunished, and were rescued with the money of the people. None of the lawmakers have addressed this, they all seem to take measures only to protect the corporations and the wealthy and to punish the regular people with austerity.
