Acquiring miniMax0r part 1

Wednesday, the line conditioner/surge protector, enclosure, and 7 port USB hub came in. This was the third enclosure that I have worked with and was the easiest. It has a fan on the bottom, is only for IDE and does not sport any cabling i.e. it is designed to accept all of the male ends on the drive natively. So with everything arranged and the ( Read more... )

I am not going backwards on DVD burning capabilities.
Glad to see you're going to stick around with a dying technology.

No worries, I''ve still got my Jazz drive, and by God they'll have to pull that from my cold, dead hands! I'll never go backwards!

You're stupidity really amazes me sometimes. You just don't get it do you?

Yes, it's true in five years DVDs may be a thing of the past. That having been said, I don't own a fucking tape drive and carrying a hard drive around is impractable and unreliable, hence the removable media.

I'm curious: what do you suggets instead of this dying technology called DVDs?

[Your] stupidity really amazes me sometimes.
If you think I'm stupid, you've got a LONG road to travel, my friend. I'm no longer trapped by the present, I'm a walking trending machine with The Sight. I can fold time & space. You keep sitting there picking your nose and throwing around insults if it makes you feel any better. I'm stupid? I don't think so, Tim. I am your past, your present, and I am your future. Just give thought to what old Scrooge would've had to look forward to had he told the ghost of Christmas present to fuck off, thinking himself so much the wiser! Fool! Do you see the very living relationship we've come to take for granted?

But to answer your question, I've got a dual-layer burner in my laptop I've never once used. If I require the transfer of files too large for secure shell, I use a thumb-drive, which, with the exception of the dual-layer burners, now holds the capacity of a DVD. Sure if my iTunes volume weren't formatted in Mac HFS I might attach it to my windows box and make yet another back up of ( ... )

You once told me that I needed to put the title down into the post that that those who were reading it, could see what the title was and wouldn't get confused because if they didn't see the title they wouldn't know what the fuck you were talking about.

This is one of those cases when the shoe is on the other foot, and you need to take a dose of your own "medicine".

Need to put the title down into the post so it's more obvious Furbie. :-)

Later :-)

When did I ever tell you to put the title down in the post?

I don't recall the exact post Tomas. you merely told me that it would be a lot more understandable, and less confusing if I were to put the title down where people could see it more easily.

And what does it matter? You need to do it regardless of WHEN you told ME to do it to MY post...

:-P ornery kooter bug...
