There is some part of Alex's mind that is very aware of the difference between making out and making out on Hayley's bed. But if she doesn't mind then he manages to supress the idea that maybe it's too much too fast. Mostly anyway, because that though makes him think about what they are doing and he doesn't really know. Hayley was his best friend, she still is. They're just suddenly much much friendlier. He pulls away breaking the kiss for a moment just to look at her. "You're really good at that," he said grinning stupidly.

Alex waits a beat before he sits up as well, and she can call him all the names she likes he knows she doesn't mean it, not when she smiles like that.

He watches her for a brief moment thinking over her question, he knows what he thinks they are but if she doesn't agree. "It makes us whatever you want it to make us," he said. "I think it would be really cool if you were my girlfriend though." Despite all the sudden new physical attraction he's worried she won't want to be his girlfriend so he sounds kind of hesitant.

Alex watches her think and it's kind of worrying. What's she even doing kissing him all the time if she doesn't want him for her boyfriend? Then she smiles at him and he's glad he kept his mouth shut because she was so doing that on purpose.

Alex can't believe he has a girlfriend, he'd never really been interested in dating before but he's never really known a girl like Hayley. Even Sabina had been far too interested in boys and make up and bikini's. But he doesn't like Hayley because she's a girl (though obviously it helps.) He likes her because she's Hayley and he thinks the same is true of why she likes him. Though the kissing might help. "Right," he said, kissing her again quickly. Of course never paying attention in the kind of relationships his classmates had at home, he has no notion of what this means really. Except that they've added kissing to the list of daily activities along with football, running and homework. And hand holding.
