So here's the thing:  I really didn't like The DaVinci Code.  I liked the movie well enough, and then I picked up the book because everyone said the book was better and I tried to like it.  Hell, I tried to finish it, but... I haven't had a chance to read this, cause i needed to go to sleep an hour ago - but the parrot squeeking 11235 was my favorite storyline on mathnet. Mostly because it's the only one i still remember.

What a great show.

I don't have much to add, because i've neither seen the movie nor read the book. Maybe i'll get around to one or the other. Maybe.

But as for the prose - The Language Log has dedicated at least half a dozen entries to ranting on how terrible the prose is - so if nothing else, you're in good company.

But I've never read the book, and I haven't seen the movie. However, given the notion that you're probably too smart for your own good, I can see the issues that arise.

This definitely made my day.

It sort of reminds me how I've always said that CSI is Scooby Doo for adults.
