The term "political correctness" sticks in my craw anyway. Someone finds X term offensive and prefers to be referred to as Y term? FUCKING DO IT. It's just common courtesy. Using the term someone prefers isn't "PC", it's "being polite".

I try to avoid problematic language, even in jest or safe company, if only because I hate to have idiots and racists mistake me for an ally of theirs.
