Photoshop Geek-out

I love Photoshop. It's nice and digital, yet intuitive and somehow "warmer" than some other programs--more like traditional art. Especially with a stylus. The digital art class I'm taking is teaching me so much about Photoshop's capabilities. Certainly less so than with Illustrator, but my work in Photoshop before now has been far more vector-

One of the best parts of layers is the ability to make/move pieces and change the layer effect, most notably "overlay", "lighten", and "color burn" can do fun things too.

Yes, layer modes are awesome. "Luminosity" is interesting sometimes too.
