I've been having trouble with a couple of stories. I hate not being able to finish something! So I decided to draw to try to balance myself out. Still not what I'd hoped for but thought I'd share.

Oh, wow! This is lovely! You did it in your own style but I can still recognize it as Dorian. I like the nose particularly, how you expressed a nose without a lot of nose actually being there. (I'm terrible at noses, myself.) You're quite talented!

Thanks. It's more Robert's nose than Dorian's. I have always admired people who could draw/paint nice noses! I don't consider myself one, but I'm gratful for the compliment. :)

Ohhhhhhhh! So pretty! @_@
I love the scribbliness of the hair and the luminosity of the highlights on it and on the nose & lips.
I also like the contrast between the more detailed/realistic style of the facial features and the barely-suggested hair, and how they manage to go together anyway.
(If this were my art class I would write a couple more paragraphs about it being the highlights that tie the hair & face together and give it unity, and the lack of detail on the hair making the viewer focus on the eyes...but I'll restrain myself. XD)

:) Thank you. The focus on the eyes is intentional. If I could I would probably run about drawing eyes everywhere! The hair is simple not only because of that, but because eegad!, Dorian's hair is... dificult.

Preeeeetty. Jealous of how you did the hair. The main reason I don't draw Dorian is the hair, even when I try to do a minimalist sort of thing it looks awful. But you made it work!

Thanks, ma'am. :) The hair took me a very long time to do very little! Dorian's hair requires rather more thought and planning than I'm used to!

Heh, tell me about it. I didn't realize until I got a Dorian muse that although I have tons of long-haired muses... they all have STRAIGHT hair.

HEhe! Exactly. :) The worst part about it is that it's so easy to make a great finger-in-lightsocket sort of mess! Dorian wouldn't stand for it! :)
