Klaus’ sexuality

What do you think is the Major’s sexuality? Homo or asexual? At this point I don’t think any of us thinks he is hetero. xD
If you think he is homo, do you think he is a top or a bottom? By the way, I am a LGBTQA+ person myself.

Personally I mostly view him as someone who called himself a hetero because that was the 'right' thing to do, but had pretty much put his sexuality on the backburner (until a certain thief came along, that is). But I suppose he could also very well be a way too deep in the closet homo. As for his, ahem, position, in all the erotic scenes I've written in my fics I always portrayed him as the top...I have implied once that they are alternating, but I just couldn't picture a scene with the Major as the bottom; other authors have, and I enjoyed these stories just as well, but was never able to do it myself until now.

Klaus is very much the product of his Catholic upbringing, although I doubt he actually goes to confession while he's at church. He is also very good at rationalizing/compartmentalizing what he does for a living. (i.e. This guy is bad, so my killing him is good.)

I think he is very much asexual in that when it comes to sex, it's what other people do. Doing it himself would interfere with his job, and his job is his life.

I'm sure we can all agree that Klaus is an Alpha male. This tends to make people believe that he would be the dominant person in the bedroom, but his actions when confronted head-on by Dorain's sexual overtures do not bear this out. His usual reaction is to freeze or run away. Dorian, while also an Alpha, does not act in the same manly ways that Klaus is used to, so his normal reactions (threats) don't work, such as when he bangs heads (and fists) with Mischa the Cub

The thought that Klaus might be asexual also crossed my mind but considering his extremely panicked reactions against Dorian made me decide he is a very repressed homosexual man who was raised to be a military man. Also he was a child during the horrible times when being gay was illegal and a mental illness.

I also feel like he rationalizes his lack of interest in forming any relationship with a woman by telling himself that he views “romance” as a waste of time.

What I don’t understand is why doesn’t Mischa, Polar Bear, Agent Q, Steamroller or any seasoned capable agent think Major is, even though not overtly, a homosexual?

It's likely that he's a really repressed homosexual, I think. I'm also one of the people who have a difficult time picturing the Major as anything else than top... I'm sure that many people may disagree, but that old fanfic By Any Other Name actually fits my image of the Major quite well - or more specifically, as he would be if From Eroica With Love was a serious manga and not a comedy. That fanfic resembles Der Freischütz more than the actual series. Very bleak and serious, that one was. If I remember right, that fanfic also explored reasons for the Major to be like he is, i.e. his upbringing and how the world was back then, for me it felt believable
