Live like a von dem Eberbach? - German castles for sale

Apr 04, 2013 19:57

There’s an article from the Wall Street Journal regarding German castles on the market. I found it interesting because 1) Klaus lives in one; 2) on Vol. 35, Klaus was supposed to help to sell an old castle (not Schloss Eberbach) per his father’s request.

Well, can’t be a von dem Eberbach, but maybe could live like one? Check it out! ;) germany

My guess is that Klaus lives in a modernized and relatively small castle.

Modernized, most definitely. After all, it has electricity and running water that did not exist in the 13th century when it was built. Don't know about being small, though. In one of the more recent stories, we see an arial view of the Schoss, and it looks rather large. To me, at least.

Not sure about how big the property is, but the living space seems to be pretty modern (for a schloss), roomy and well kept. Especially considering it's within a reasonable distance to commute to Bonn, I would bet it's a very desirable schloss if it's available.

My idea is that he also has a house in Bonn. And yes, the castle is modernized. Nevertheless, it must cost a fortune to keep it up to scratch.
