Vol 13-related questions

I'm the happy owner of the 13th volume of the English version of the manga (let me tell you how comfortable I was, asking my father to order it for me... It's a long story), and not small was my surprise when I discovered that it doesn't contain the full story ( Read more... )

The Seventh Seal continues through to volume 15, and there is no scanlation available (as far as I've seen). CMX typically releases the Eroica volumes 4 times per year: March, June, September and December, as long as there are no delays. So you can expect the conclusion of the Seventh Seal in December.

As far as the pun, CMX has rarely ever translated Eroica literally. As far as I can tell (being an EXTREME beginner in Japanese), the line ”なにが善は急げださんざん私お脅しておいて何が協力者だ” merely says that Dorian is cooperating because Klaus is threatening him. If there's a pun at all, it's not one that I get. Also, "Iron Klaus" is not the phrase they use in the original Japanese, but Kadorienne's site can explain that in further detail.

Aaah, thank you very much! I had missed that info page, it's much clearer now (and fascinating).

December! And there I was hoping I could finally move on to the next stories! (I like to read them in order, for continuity and spoiler reasons.) *bites nails*

I heard that the Seventh Seal was incomplete in that CMX actually missed out part 1, and skipped on to 2. The story looks alright to me, so is that true?

I suppose only someone who has the original could settle this once and for all, but the story looks all right to me too as far as logical continuity from story 12 and the side stories...

Hello, I have the original and CMX's both.
The Seventh Seal IS completed.

I heard that the Seventh Seal was incomplete in that
CMX actually missed out part 1, and skipped on to 2.

What you heard is probably because that the part.1 is involved in the last part of
Vol.12 which some people may take it as a side story (Klaus took off faking diarrhea).

Skipping on Part.2 is CMX's mistake.
The vol.13 starts with part.2, not "part.3" written at the bottom of the page.2 of CMX's Vol.13.
