(And @ St. Nicholas Day: Nikolaus looks like Santa Claus, not necessarily as red and white like the CocaCola-Version, though. And "Klaus" is a short form of the name "Nikolaus", so December 6th is also Klaus's name day (something Catholics were celebrating more than their birthday long, long ago (my mother remembers it, but it's really not common anymore) But still! :D)
I seem to recall us discussing the Nikolaus/Klaus connection with Nikolaustag last year when I posted "Advent Calender." In fact, I think I still have that plot bunny somewhere...

I'm going to Penney's tonight to look for bedding for my mom. Even though it will be a different Penney's in a different state, I'll think of you when the sales clerk looks at me strangely after I call her Marg. :D
