Also YESSS to Tamaki/Haruhi. You really ought to read the manga once you have finished the anime!
As for the GREAT FANNISH PACKING DILEMMA, I would lean towards the FMA volumes? Because at least it would be fairly easy to watch AtLA online or something when you needed a fix, but now that the scanlations are down in a lot of places the same is not true of FMA (plus with scanlations you don't tend to get the gaidens and omake and stuff and those are very important). But I will admit that FMA edges out Avatar in my fannish affections so I am biased here.

Also! Part of me thinks, whichever you choose, you can have a copy on your computer for the other. The dvds would take up less space in a dorm, though. ;D
