Dave ended up going to the hospital today after his check-up with a Workman's Comp medical office. Apparently his recent shortness of breath was due to the partially collapsed lung that had fluid in it ( Read more... )

You definitely can...
And I'll let him know you are thinking of him.
He's doing a lot better, but a little over 2 liters of fluid has been removed from his lungs over the past 24 hours. *pouts*

I'm so sorry to read about Dave! Will you pass along my best wishes for a speedy recovery to him?

And stay strong sweetie. It's gotta be tough as heck to be watching someone and not be able to help them, but I'm sure that you just being there and supporting him speaks volumes. *Big Hugs* to you both.

How did it happen, by the way?

The doctor is not sure how it happened other than being spontaneous. This is more common than you think for tall, thin people. I'll try to find more information online to cut/paste and explain more later.
