I got a 92% on my Political Thought paper. It counts more than the first essay, on which I got a B+. 20 or 25 points as opposed to 10. I don't think I'm gonna get a final A in that class. At most, an A-. But that's ok.

I've been feeling nauseous since Friday night. I didn't get any homework done on Saturday, and today I didn't want to wake up. I was talking to myself out loud, saying "I don't want to." My English teacher keeps talking about inner life crap that he's making me want to be superficial. He actually went Kitty Farmer on us and drew a line on the board with "love" and "fear" on opposite ends. I wish I had the guts to go Donnie Darko on him. Next thing you know, I'll hear about child porn magazines stashed in his basement.

I listened to "I'm Back" again a couple of times and it didn't come to life. I was just at my most stressful moment when I realized, after more than an hour of typing quotes, I had a bunch more pages to go through, plus another book. I felt so overwhelmed. I'm a little stressed out by this essay I'm writing. I'm going back over the readings, making a list of quotes that I might use. Overwhelmed, I stood up and decided to take a cigarette break. My credit score is not as bad as I thought. It's not bad or excellent; it's just "fair." But just barely. It's only 10 points greater than the lowest "fair" rating. My friend Mary from Bard just got unlimited text messaging as part of her plan. We've been texting ever since. Finally, I'm able to take advantage of my text plan! I got a B+ on my paper. I did something I've NEVER done before--stated my thesis in a few sentences. I thought that's fine, but it counted against me. I got a B+ because the professor thought I did not have a clearly articulated thesis. But there are several points I wanted to make, and thought that they would flow better in separate sentences ( Read more... )

I didn't get my essay back today; I'm getting it back on Friday. It's only worth 10 points, so I shouldn't make a big deal about it if I don't get an A. It would just suck to break my A streak. So far, all my papers at WSU have been A's or A+'s. Most of my exams have been A's too. If my teacher doesn't like what I said in my essay, fuck it. ( Read more... )
