That is certainly one big garage!!! Glad it is coming along so well, even with the bad weather.

That guy has a cheek bumping into your walnut tree. Hope he didn't damage it too much.

It really is rather large, but we hope to fit two cars and a lot of Christmas decorations into it.

The walnut tree is fine, but I was not happy with him.

Fun to watch something being built like that - it must feel quite the achievement too! I like the view of it from the back yard especially, with the verandah-like bit on it - looks rather picturesque that way around. Shall be waiting to see what colour it ends up... *g*

It is so fun doing this, watching a project from the ground up. I rather like the back yard view as well. I can't wait until it's finished.

Things are really coming along.

Better get Martin over and give your walnut tree a hug ... (I read some place where he said his father used to apologise to the shrubs as he pruned them) ... I can see Martin being the same.

If you have had enough wet weather, please send it to me :)

Marting hugging the tree would definitely be a good thing. I think he should be alerted to the tree injury immediately!
On the weather front, it's freakin' snowing today, GRRRRRR!

You have sent him a report, in triplicate, I hope :)

We are going to be low 30s today ... not quite autumn temperatures. I'll share with you gladly and then we can be both just right.

I wonder if that weather switching/sharing thing would work?
How does this sound;
Dear Mr. Shaw,
I have a stately old walnut tree which has recently received a serious bodily injury. Would you consider stopping by and giving it a much needed hug?
;-)

Garage? That's a barn :-)

Looks to be coming on well though, despite Mr Walnut tree smacker. Maybe he's a believer in the old rhyme :- "A woman, a dog and a walnut tree, The more you beat them, the better they be." If so, I feel sorry for his wife.

I wish we had room for that much garage - I shan't show these to my husband or he'll be green with envy :-)

I had never heard that saying until rosie55 shared it with me in the last month sometime. It seems rather harsh.
The new garage is not much larger than the old shed was, really. It will, however, be far more functional.

It does rather. I hope it was never meant to be taken entirely seriously, but you never know.

That's the thing isn't it - space is good, but space that's organised well is better :-)

Definitely, the old shed was really nothing more than a junk catcher. In the new space we'll be able to get our cars out of the weather and store our Christmas stuff (of which we have a TON). The shed the decorations are in now is falling apart and has holes through which critters can enter and ravage my decorations.
