...you make banners for your Galaxies toons.

*sigh*

On the other hand, my being an enormous geek comes as a shock to nobody, myself included.

Y'know, when my character in a tabletop Star Wars RPG that I'm in *finally* flips out and goes to the Dark Side (which could happen, despite my intentions otherwise) I'm *so* quoting you. :)

My toon had great aspirations toward the Light Side. I've been playing him for about 8 months solid and it's only recently that all his past anger management problems, etc., and some stunningly bad decisions made for good reasons tipped him over the edge.

I, however, am having a blast.

I hope you don't mind overmuch, I think I may hook that mantra for the SW RPG game I'm running. It would be very useful with which to torment the Jedi character.

Peace is a lie, there is only passion.
Through passion, I gain strength.
Through strength, I gain power.
Through power, I gain victory.
Through victory, my chains are broken.
The Force shall free me.

By all means. It is not my mantra. That's the Sith Creed. It shows up in the KOTOR games and I think it may make appearances in a number of novels as well, such as Darth Bane: Path of Destruction.

It's the antithesis to the Jedi Code:

There is no emotion; there is peace.
There is no ignorance; there is knowledge.
There is no passion; there is serenity.
There is no death; there is the Force.

Sweet banner! :D

I hate to admit it, but it's fun on the Dark Side.

Nobody ever told me that the Dark Side had cookies!

Now if it has kittens I’m in trouble.
(actually the Flagship site may have kittens soon, literally)

Kittens aboard the Eclipse? *boggles* Do tell.

Oh yes, the Dark Side has cookies. I have a pin to prove it, thanks to Waywardbound.

Well the Rebels keep testing our defenses with bots and the Empire is protecting its citizens. These are not the droids we are looking for.

Translation: The webteam is working on anti-spambot measures right now.

We have entrusted our security to a group of Sith like creatures that instinctively appeal to hearts and consciences of people (if the rebels have one that is ;) )

Translation: New users will have to pick out pictures of kittens from non-kittens in order to register :D

The Rebels have used innocent furry creatures as proxies in battle before and should be confused by kittens (which are Imperial creatures at heart ;) ) and think that they are rebel allies

Translation - see the Endor holocaust caused by the destruction of the Deathstar over the forest moon to see what happened to their allies. http://www.theforce.net/swtc/holocaust.html
