Where has all the smut gone?

~squees~ melisande88 has written what she calls a hg/ss PWP entitled Clock Watching (even though I clearly see some plot there - LOL), and she's also asked a very good question: Where has all the smut gone?

She has a point. As a sshg_exchange mod, I can testify that when matching prompts, we run out of people willing to write smut before we run out of people who ask ( Read more... )

Noooooo! Leave the tiny little plot to propagate. Even if I'm only imagining it. ;P

You're very welcome. It definitely deserves a boost. ;)

Squee!!!! Thank you for the link!

If there's a BDSM or PWP prompt left orphan, let me know. I know I said "no PWP," but Meli has made me rethink this. I think I'm just being a big old chicken.

Ooooh, thank you so much! I'll make a note. So far, we've been lucky not to have any orphaned prompts, but it's early days yet.

And I know I'm being a big old chicken. LOL

*giggles* Ages ago, there was a discussion on labyfic where people enthusiastically supported the idea of having a smutfic fest. It fizzled because it turned out that nearly everyone involved wanted to read it, but not to write it. *g*

LOL - I know! Practically everybody wants to read it, but finding enough people to write it is difficult!

I know my problem with writing just smut. It's kind of a been there, done that and as darnedchild once told me: "There's only so many ways you can describe how tab A fits into tab B." I can write it, but it takes a special mood to do it proper justice. Honestly, between hubby, #1 son and grandson running in and out of the room - they kill it before it can get started. LOL

Oh, boy, do I understand that! LOL And I agree with darnedchild, there really is only so many ways you can describe it. I don't write much of it, and unless I can come up with something a little different, I usually think that what I've written is inadequate, so I end up not writing it at all. ~nods~
