During Portus,
droxy surprised
bloodcult by appearing as the Severus Snape from
Seven Preposterous Things. It was an amazing performance, and I think that everyone involved enjoyed it immensely. Before I left on Sunday, I had the opportunity to speak to
droxy again, and she mentioned something that surprised me. The more I thought about it, the more I wanted to

It's always fun to draw comparisons between real life and fiction. The owl that hunts in my neighborhood was fittingly named Jareth, of course. ;)
Oh, now that's just brilliant! ~grin~

Yes, Snape is pure fiction and always will be. But I look for "look alikes" or physical similars as it helps improve the reality of makeup. This is what my makeup books instructed and it helps. Sometimes I see other HP characters in people, and I am only refering to a physical resemblence. I saw the literal Weasleys at a baseball game. I see Ginny and Harry, and sometimes Dumbledore on a Harley.
The only people I have seen that look like Snape were young boys, about 14 or so where their body is still gawky. But they were the perfect visions of a young Snape. They were reedy and had long, very straight, limp, black hair. So I see canon characters in people, not fanon.
Oh, and that young lady at the Anatole...she knew. It was a funny moment. XD

~falls over laughing~ Yes, I suppose he does.

Hmm, maybe it's just me, then. Perhaps I'm just so completely unobservant that I don't notice the resemblances. Others have commented that they notice the resemblances, too.

I wish I could have seen her expression. ;)

What 7PT!Snape proved for me is Muggle!Snape works. From a fanon point of view, it is feasible that Snape would and could successfully disappear into the population.
If Snape doesn't want to be found, you wont find him.
I plan on conducting this experiment at Terminus, simply to see if folks can spot the Snape in a odd form of "Where's Waldo?"
Frankly, my Snape isn't attractive. Sasha called him a "total sleazebag", which IMHO is a high complement becasue that's what I was aiming for. XD If he was handsome, I think he would get more attention. Also, if he was more cleaned up and in a business suit, I think he would have attracted more attention. Like Snape in a tux...

It's nice to have that plot confirmed as realistic.

Please let us know the results of that experiment, I'll be very interested to see how it goes.

~nods~ I think that's the way for everyone, though, not just Snape. It's been my experience that pretty people are noticed first, well-dressed people are noticed before shabbily dressed people, etc.
