Exactly. Reality's a bitch. You should have seen it too, there was a short time when none of us had any of our powers, and they had the nerve to go on about it like it was so awesome that no one could do anything like, oh, I don't know, fucking protect them or keep murders from happening and shit like that. So my sympathy levels regarding people like that? Kinda low.

There was no way she could have defended herself against that, no matter what anyone taught her. The Animus twisted the mind of a very good person, and because of the event someone was hurt. The only people who could have protected her either weren't in their right minds themselves, or were hurt and incapacitated to prevent them from protecting her.

I'm not asking you for sympathy or even understanding. But you have no right to blame the victim for not being able to defend herself.
