Speaking of music....

In the last 1-2 months, I kept hearing (and still do) a song that I liked, but didn't know its name or artist/group. I assumed it was NEW, since radio stations tend to overplay new releases ad nauseum. Despite how much the stations play it, however, they NEVER said the title or artist! Don't DJs do that anymore? :( And I ( Read more... )

*blush* Well, I think you had enough going on this week, without having to hear an inane question about song lyrics. heh Then again, at least it would've been good for a laugh, if I'd asked you! ;D What I can't figure out is why Mix 106.5 keeps playing "Hey Ya" ALL the time! It's 4 years old! My only guess is that maybe it's on the soundtrack of a new movie??

BTW, did you get my text message about the change of venue for bingo? I know you might not be able to make it, but in case you can, I wanted you to know of the change. :)

LOL! Yeah, I sometimes wonder if we BOTH have needed hearing aids for years! To this day, I don't know what the heck you actually said when I heard "caketag"! ;D Sooo funny!

In terms of misheard song lyrics, tho, I don't think ANYTHING can top what I thought I heard in the chorus of Carlene Carter's "Every Little Thing". *blush*

A few years ago "Hey ya" was an incredibly popular song.
Didn't hear "shake it like a polliwog creature", I heard it more like: "Shake it like a (films with adult content) 0 boy).

I don't think I would have made the Polliwog connection on my own^^.

Oh my! *chuckle* Well, at least I know I'm not the only one who heard something totally different from the actual lyrics! ;D If you want a REAL laugh, check out the Amiright.com database -- although you probably already know of it. It seems everyone these days has discovered that site. heh
