Sounds like a whole lot of fun. You know sometimes I think that to replicate a recipe some one does you have to have all the implements they use, even down to the oven or frying pan. Also the technique is so down pat it is second nature they never think about it, so they never include it in their making of the recipe. I know there are a lot of recipes that I cannot quite duplicate, and also as my mom says, "you have to have love and happiness while you cook, because it comes out in the food." :)
I am so glad you got to wear the bride's maid dress. I think you looked quite fetching in that dress. :) It makes your eye color pop, and with your hair, you looked smashing. :)
