Single: to be or not to be?

I wrote this recently on Facebook & shared it as a Note. I'm sharing it here on LiveJournal because (1) some of my LJ friends aren't on FB; and (2) I've a feeling many of my FB friends somehow missed seeing it, because only one friend commented (and I've 300+ friends there! LOL ( Read more... )

Call 'em anything you like, it's all good! :D (The fellow in mine is a lovely boy named Akabane Kuroudo whom I ADORE MADLY. Emphasis on the mad part...he's a transporter who loves a good fight, and even better if that fight results in death. Heaps of death. Big bloody battles o' death. Yeah, that's probably one of the many many reasons I am not necessarily good relationship material. >;D ( ... )

It's been 2,000 years since I posted anything on your Livejournal, but here I am again. It's probably all part of the re-becoming me thing. :D (On the other hand, if I sound bizarre or awkward, I can also blame it on growing pains. It's convenient like that. ;))

Anyway, I'm one of the "I'm single and you have to be awesome to change that" people. Perversely enough, I'm currently in a committed relationship, and I've been in one (well, two; this is the second) for the past seven or eight years, even though I know I'm a single-and-supposed-to-be type. How that happened (...twice...) is a different story, though. (Sigh!)

I do agree with you that we all have different ways of functioning, and the older I get, the more I think we could really be predisposed toward the behaviors that make us happiest. That's not something I particularly want to be true, but if I observe enough evidence for it, then so be it! ;) So my explanation isn't about a choice as much as it is about who I appear to have been born ( ... )

I am in the dating world and when I look at that group I think of the guys I've met lately. I agree with the group. Why? Cuz I am not gonna settle for some lame ass excuse of a man, just to change my status. I think that is what the group means.
