Going backwards to move forward (i.e. playing ketchup!!!)

Where to start?!? Again I'm soooo behind in my journaling! D: The main reason this frustrates/upsets me is because I love the ability to "record" the events going on in my life, just as I did as a teenager when I kept a paper journal/diary. And the longer I go without writing an entry in here, the more I forget what I wanted to write. *sigh ( Read more... )

rats, rant, daily life, photos, movies, relationships, starbucks, shawn, friends, food, bingo

Magners, that is hilarious!! Did they serve it with ice? Over here they fill the glass up completely with ice cubes and serve it over the top... yum!

Jules!! :D :) You're still alive! It's good to see you around LJ again, missy! I've been meaning to ask you if you've considered joining Facebook? It might be faster and simpler for you to keep folks updated on your life, and stay updated on other people's lives, if you had a Facebook account. Then again, take it from me -- that website is DAMN ADDICTIVE! *maniacal laughter*

Anyway, no they didn't serve the Magners over ice. Is that how it's usually served in Scotland and/or Ireland? I would actuallly LIKE it that way, because I'm kind of a freak when it comes to cold drinks -- I like them VERY cold! Heck, I even use ice cubes in milk, which most people think is weird! But yeah, I think hard cider "on the rocks" would be very good! :) Speaking of that type of drink, have you ever tried Wyder's Cider? I'm pretty sure it's American. Their pear hard cider is the best, but the peach is good too.

Haha - I actually do have a facebook, but I check that even less frequently! I can't access either facebook or LJ at work, and since i spend the whole day on the computer I usually can't be bothered booting it up at night! I will make more of an effort though, as I have been incredibly lax in updating for a long while now.

Magners on ice is the only way I can drink it - it is nice with a bit of blackcurrant cordial in it too... I haven't tried Wyders, but I do like Koppaberg, which is a swedish pear cider (over here, they sell it in Ikea so you should have a look out when you are next there!)

Glad to hear you are getting on well though, Shawn seems like a sweetheart and you seem incredibly happy! Hooray!

Right, better get back to work! xx

What's your Facebook name? scaryshari January 28 2009, 03:07:35 UTC
OOOPS! I just made a boo-boo! *blush* I was searching Facebook for you under your Gmail address, but nothing turned up. So then I was going to search with your julessmiley@livejournal.com (the default LJ gives us all) to see if maybe you used that one for FB. But I accidentally sent you an INVITATION instead! Sorry about that! :">

So now you'll probably see something addressed to you at LJ, inviting you to join up with Facebook. *chuckle* Anyway, since I can't seem to find you on FB, and since I got tons of search results for Jules/Julie Buchanan, perhaps you can add me instead, since there are many less folks on FB with my name. :)

BTW, your office IT people are very wise to block the employees from being able to visit LiveJournal and/or Facebook whilst at work. Both of these sites are BIG time-wasters -- and I speak from experience! *blush again*

It sounds like you've been having a lot of fun! :) That's great. I know what you mean about never having enough time to write about everything you want to. I like to have my journal as a record of my life but by the time I update I've always forgotten some of the things I wanted to mention. But please don't feel like you're a bad Livejournal friend when you don't have much time to comment. You're one of my favorite LJ friends and it's great to hear from you when you have the time, but I certainly understand that life gets busy! *hugs*

I have never eaten shepherd's pie but that looks delicious! I love Irish pubs.

You're glad I "had a blast" at the gun show? *giggle* Was that pun intentional or unintentional? Either way, I liked it! ;D ( ... )
