Happy Autumn!

Today is (or was, depending when you read this) the first day of fall, a.k.a. Autumnal Equinox. I hope this harvest season is filled with joy and abundance for everyone! :) Here are two pix in honour of today. NEITHER of these belongs to me. The first is Glade Creek Mill in Babcock State Park, W Virginia -- I'm in love with this scene! The second ( Read more... )

I was thinking it needed a squirrel too! ;) However, I was too tired last night to look much on the internet for a squirrel among acorns and oak leaves. But here's an icon of my little friend Peanut! :D

that first picture is very very very very pretty! I have been in a fall mood too, but the trees around here dont think it is time yet!

I think it's super-pretty too! I first came across Glade Creek Mill in W. Virginia by accident, on a stock photography website. I love scenes like that any time of year, but especially in the autumn -- so beautiful! :) Some day I'd love to go there and photograph it myself.

Where do you live again? Some of the trees here in the Bay Area (of California) are like yours: they don't think it's time to turn colours yet. Then again, some trees never do that; they just drop a bunch of brown leaves and that's that. Some of the prettiest in this area in terms of fall colour include sweetgum (liquidambar), Chinese pistache and Callery pear (the "Bradford" cultivar).

Mmm sleeping in. I did so today, but I went to work yesterday. It was arguably a bad idea, because it probably would have done me a world of good to have stayed in. Boo work.

I hope you get over your cold/allergy flareup soon! (Mine is definitely a cold. Boo.)

I love your seasons icon. :)
