Come join my LJ Easter Egg "hunt"! ;D

Mar 20, 2008 23:22

I couldn't find any good memes with this theme on Memegen.net, so I wrote my own! :) I tried to make it long, so that as many people as possible could participate in the "virtual hunt" (heehee), but obviously there isn't enough room for 100% of my Friends List. Feel free to try this meme yourself and see whose names turn up for YOU! :D

friends, meme, easter

Thank you for my jellybeans and I will pass on the Easter wishes to Allan's sister Alison and her rats!! :) I'm going to go and do your meme - there is no way I would go to Starbucks instead of egg-hunting in real life!!!

Happy Easter petal! xxx

Hey Jules! Are you travelling incognito? (heehee) I was curious why you posted a comment anonymously. But of course I knew it was you, what with the mention of Allan, Alison and the rattums! ;D And also "petal" -- I've never heard anyone else use that term the way you do, but I really like it! It sounds warm and friendly. :) Anyhoo, I hope that you have a wonderful, fun and festive Easter!!

Ha, ha, ha! I read the rodluvan climb the tree to steal egg. I do not need to climb a tree. I can in spring go to the 3th floor at my work, open the window and take a thrush egg from the nest they build on the french balcony of the house. No of course I never should take bird egg in real just joking.

Thank you very much for the jelly beans in LJ. We have not them in Sweden but for some years ago an American friend send them to me so I have tasted them. And I like them very much.

Do you have peeps there you live. We have not them in Sweden but a LJ friend showed how they looks on a picture and told it is marsh mallows.

BTW We cannot egg hunt here outdoors. We have -12C and snow and you cannot hide things in the hard icy ground.

In my home country Holland they did egg hunting too. But in Sweden they do not this.

LOL! I knew you would laugh when your name appeared in the line about climbing a tree to steal an Easter Egg! ;) I forgot about the thrush nest on the balcony, but now that you mentioned it, I remember looking at your photos of the nest, eggs and birds last year (or the year before). I love seeing birds in their nests, and your photos are always so nice!!

You're welcome for the "virtual jellybeans". :) I didn't know you like them, but now that I know -- would you like me to send you a small package of them? Also, we have many types of Marshmallow Peeps here. If you're curious about what they taste like, I could send you a small package of Peeps also. They are very lightweight, so it would not cost me a lot of postage. And I think you would enjoy them! :D

Thank you for your kindness to want to send me jelly beans. But please do NOT send any. I may not eat so much sugar and it if for me VERY difficult to get out packages. No bus goes there. And in December I had a sad and bad experience with the post who did not deliver a gift from a friend in the USA proper. I was very upset about this.

I have tasted Jelly Beans before from a friend in the USA so I know how they taste now. Thank you my dear friend you are always so kind to me.

You're welcome about the jellies, and sorry about the raw egg in the meme! *giggle* I hope you don't get food poisoning from it! :O As for Skittles, I happen to love those! So I will gladly accept some in exchange for the jellybeans! ;D

Finds plastic egg filled w/ candy, AND fire ants

AUGH! The ultimate insult...!

True funny story: Some years back my dad and brother made a trip down to Florida to our now-former house, and my dad made the mistake of setting his duffel bag on the ground. He thought he was safe because it was on the concrete of the driveway and not right in the sandy grass (where the ants build their mounds)...

...he thought wrong, as he found out the hard way later that night after taking a shower and putting on a clean pair of underwear...which had FIRE ANTS (not many, but enough to make it definitely uncomfortable!) in them!

So yeah, he literally had ants in his pants. XD XD

Also, thank you and the boys for the virtual jellies! I don't know if rats can eat chocolate, but I have a few mini chocolate chip cookies they're welcome to share. ;)

EEEK!! :O The story about your dad with ants in his pants sounds horrid! The husband of one of my friends had that happen with REGULAR ants, so it was mostly just a funny story. But that same thing happening with FIRE ants is not so funny! :( Well, in retrospect I guess it is, but not at the time. *smirk ( ... )

Interesting. I would have assumed that rats weren't allowed to have chocolate on much the same basis as cats and dogs (yes, chocolate will make cats sick too).

Fun fact involving ants and chocolate: There are cultures where the greatest delicacy is prepared by feeding ants until their bodies swell up to the size of blueberries. Then the heads and legs are removed and chocolate is poured over the stuffed ant bodies, and the people eat them. XP

Don't know where I read that tidbit, but it's stuck with me over the years. *shudder*
