Well, they could just take it to the next level. But somehow I doubt they will.

And really, why bother? BBC!Sherlock will always be better. Plus I not-so-secretly suspect they're only doing it because the UST is practically canon and they don't want to be accused of icky bromance. (I'm looking at that last sentence and thinking that someone not in any fandom will not understand a single word of that)
