Things You Need to See

This blog post! My friend Jay and I got all choked up at work talking about this. I don't know why I care about this so much, it's not like I give much credence to religion, I just... I don't know. The picture at the end just kills me.

This shark, from the 20 second mark. (

The first post was beautiful and yes, I had tears in my eyes while I read the story.

As for sea animals, remind me to not discuss jellyfish and sea anemone with my mother, I made her pale when I went into some detail.

The more I learn about sea animals is that they are so varied and beautiful in their own way. Some of them look like works of art really. Others give me a sense of awe at how ancient their species happen to be. And then others are simply puzzling as for example, how a jellyfish has no nervous system, no brain and is really just a floating stomach, has survived for so long when they are so delicate?

....I really should have stayed in biology.

1) I read about this at ONTD_P. There's more to that group than you'd say at first site, but the post (and yes, the photo!) are very sweet. Baby steps :)

2) Whut the hell? What is that, a shark cross-bred with the Alien? IS IT GONNA SUCK MY FACE AND BURST OUT OF MY BELLY?!?

THAT SHARK IS SO TERRIFYING. On the other hand, there was an awesome picture of sharks mating somewhere around here...
