My experience with college was...poor. I was in college for six years, more or less. I had all A's and B's the first three. Then I had a bit of a breakdown and I took a semester and the summer off. I tried to get any job but college, but failed mostly because it was right after Hurricane Katrina and New Orleans evacuees had taken every job in town (fast food, book store, pet supply store, gas stations...). I went back to college to keep up my insurance and kind of tanked my GPA.

I'm still basically in a terrible rut trying to find my professional job with my current level of education in an ass poor economy.

Now, take my friend Bree, half of Moira RogersShe had a college crisis, and had the choice to move back into her parent's or crash with a fandom friend with whom she basically shared a love of Hugh Jackman's ass. Now she's married, completed college a few years later, has a steady job, and is now a WILDLY sucessful romance novelist on the side with the friend she moved in with at that time to whose children she is an aunt... )

That is pretty much the story of my college life, right there. It's very comforting to hear it from someone I admire and respect. :)

I dunno, I always question my motives. Maybe I don't trust myself or something.
