I cannot believe that I will never again read a new Harry Potter book. I'll never get to read a page, a sentence, heck even a word for the first time ever again.

I knew it was coming... but the crushing sadness I felt when I came to the epilogue still shocked me.

((More later once I'm over my shock and sadness...))

FList spoiler posts, here I

shock, deathly hallows, harry potter

What in the epilogue shocked you? I thought it was pretty straight foward...

Well I was referring to the sadness I felt when I got to the epilogue shocking me--but I was shocked by the epilogue because it was like reading a bad piece of fanfiction or something. I didn't really care for it--but more on that later, I'm going to re-read the book and take notes so as to give it a proper review.

And the greatness of the other 765+ pages didn't make up for it? No offense, but all I hear from people whose couple didn't happen/fav. character died is bitching about the 6-page epilogue as if the rest of the book doesn't matter. You're not one of those people are you? :(

Of course not, don't get me wrong--I'm just planning on skipping the epilogue when I read it from now on. ;) I did love the book (mostly--although she did kill my two favorite couples, one figuratively and the other literally) and I refuse to let the epilogue overshadow that.
