I just got done typing up my one week notice for Subway--have a job for Chicken Express that is nights and weekends but I'm planning to call Whataburger tomorrow to see if they know what's going on with their day schedule yet first because I really really don't like the idea of walking home at 10:30 every night. But yayness Chicken Express starts ( Read more... )

Ugh. Sounds like a conundrum of a situation. Money issues totally ruin relationships. Of course I'm just some person from the internet, so maybe not the best one for advice, but I'd say this is definitely something you have to at least talk to her about. Get your concerns out there, otherwise you enter the fester zone, and there is no good there. I'd also say it depends on how important this Christy is to you. Is your relationship worth what she's putting you through?

Congrats on the job though! :)

Awww I love the icon! And thanks so much, I really really need the advice and I'll try to take it. I cannot stand confrontation so I tend to let people walk all over me rather than stand up for myself... Trying to change that. Thanks again for the kind words, so gonna steal that icon later. :)

I think that's good advice. I'm like you, I hate confrontation, but in the end it'll probably be better for your relationship to talk this out. Also, my sister once pointed out to me that if you haven't let someone know something's bothering you, you can't get mad at them for it. As obvious as it is to you right now, she might not realize what she's doing. Just say, "Hey, Christy, I don't understand why I'm paying half as one person and you're only paying half for three. I want to help out however I can, but..." You're not her husband, you're her niece so she shouldn't have the same expectations of you.

Good luck with Whataburger *tummy rumbles* and you know my thoughts and prayers are with you!

*giggles* Oops sorry about the Whataburger LOL didn't mean to make ya hungry. *wink wink*

And as for talking things out... I'm trying to gather up my courage. She's just like her daughter though, gets defensive at the slightest remark and becomes remarkably difficult to talk rationally with. Thank you so much for the thoughts and prayers, you know how much they mean to me--almost as much as you yourself do. :)
