I agree. As soon as I saw Bill Nighy as Uncle Andrew, I smiled like a dork because he would be perfect as Andrew. And Bill Bailey would make an awesome Fledge. Just enough of a working-class accent to fit a Cockney horse. And if someone ever decides not to keep Liam Neeson as Aslan, stuff is going to hit the fan.
Kristin Scott Thomas is interesting, though, as Jadis. Why not just get Tilda Swinton again? (I'm not being argumentative, just wanting to know your opinion why. :D )

Hehe right? He was an epiphany to me. He is basically how I picture Andrew when I'm reading the book, in hindsight, anyway so it makes total sense. (I always go by Lewis' own illustrations, and the lankiness and the crazy hair are totally him.) The inspiration for Bill Bailey came from his turn as the Whale in H2G2. That sort of innocent but excited tone - perfect. And yeah Liam = Aslan now.
Well hmm good question... Tilda was great as the White Witch, of course, but even though she IS Jadis, I've always pictrued Jadis differently. This is again from being influenced by the illustrations in the books... No offense to Tilda but I see Jadis as being a bit more conventionally beautiful, based on the children's reactions to her (especially Digory's). And I am obsessed with Kristin and think she is the ultimate HBIC. Plus she's gorgeous and an amazing actress. Plus she can pull off scary/imposing. So I went with her. :)
This needs to happen now! Which is to say that The Magician's Nephew is my favourite too and Bill Nighy as Uncle Andrew would be about the best thing in the world. The rest of the cast are pretty fantastic too, but I've got Bill Nighy running around in my head going on about a "dem fine woman, sir!" Which, of course, Kristen Scott Thomas undoubtably is. It would be beautiful, beautiful thing...
