OMG. Okay, I've read this twice in a row, and I'm sitting here with the biggest grin on my face. This is just awesome in every possible way. I think this is the absolute best explication of my "Mac and Danny are inevitable" narrative kink that I could have gotten. I love the flow of language here, too; it's really gorgeous and dark and...and...there's a nice undercurrent of potential violence and danger in all of it, even when you're not specifically touching on that aspect. I also love what they say to each other at the end, and the way they both sort of finally just give in to this connection between them, and Danny's realization of Mac's *wanting*.

And, and! The implications for the BSI 'verse, and what we could do with this in the future. We are *so* going to have to discuss this when you're here.

I really am very glad you like it. I wasn't sure what I was going to write for you; I just had this vague sense of Mac and Danny kissing or almost kissing... And I feel like I should thank you every time I write the BSI verse both because you invited me to play in the verse and because in doing so you've given me great stuff to work with. I mean, every tiny bit of BSI I've written owes something crucial to a comment you've made or a possibility you've hinted at.

Like our AIM conversation the other night--there are great implications for the verse, but I would never have realized how great on my own.

But back to *this* story, I'm glad I got the inevitability of it down, because it felt a little tricky to make it properly inevitable without turning it into a "soulmates" kind of thing. (ick)

So yay! I'm glad you love.
