Because from what I've heard they often announce demonstrations when they have no intention of keeping the appointment. I think they do it just to get people riled up. I think this may be one of those, based on the sort of scattershot approach to what they're picketing. SPU, for heaven's sake?

SCOTUS? I'd be happy if I could just be taken seriously at a hardware store's customer service counter.
