Traffic nightmares on both coasts, then: today is the Annual NYC Bike Tour, with numerous street closures to accommodate the 30,000 or so bikers they usually get. (Perhaps not as many today, with the weather being gray and drizzly -- expected to get wetter.) I used to marvel at the bikes, when I worked weekend overnights and came out on Sunday morning at 57th St and 6th Ave, to witness a nearly interminable wave of bikers sweeping up the Avenue to Central Park. (Now that I work weekday overnights, and at 42nd/6th, I don't get to see it unless I actually go watch.)

I'm shocked. A MoDo column that (a) doesn't savage the Clintons and (b) is worth reading. Thanks for the pointer.

Cool that you're in our favorite local blog! I can say that the junction is indeed a crazy place! Had to run down and pick up prescriptions, wow! it was truly hopping! Nice day for it.

Love the memos to Hollywood!
