I was surprised to see how many names I recognized in the PI today, and I mostly don't even read that type of book. Quite the concentration of heavy hitters here in the NW!

Hey...how did your thing with Dean and Kris go? And I still haven't heard back from Dave. And I think we should write a book together. And maybe I should move to the PacNorWest. And I like starting sentances with and.

1) The thing with Kris and Dean hasn't happened yet. The workshop is scheduled for May 1-May 8 so, depending upon whether or not I have internet access, I may not even be reachable online for a week. If that's the case, I'll keep a journal while I'm there and then upload and backdate entries so people can follow along. In the meanwhile, I continue to work on my first story, much easier now that the first chunk of my freelance job is complete.

2) Don't know what to tell you about Dave. Did you send him a proposal or just an introductory letter? If the latter, you might want to submit an actual review. I know one writer who started by submitting a completed review plus a CV and already has received a response.

3) A book? Hmmm....

4) I'd wholeheartedly recommend the PNW. And it'd be great to have you here (though you might not have an easy time getting you required hockey fixes).

5) And what's wrong with starting a sentence with "and?" (asks the editor who should know better).

We do have a Western League team (the Thunderbirds) that is at least OK, although less OK this year than in the past. There is also one in Everett, so minor league action is plentiful.

And, (since we're starting sentences with "and"), Vancouver and the Canucks are a nice weekend road trip away...
