More signs of crabbiness, aka crushing the hopes of Doctor Who fans everywhere

It's a sign of the level of crabbiness I'm feeling today that when someone on the Doctor Who forum on Live Journal proposed that John Kovalic create a Doctor Who version of the game Munchkin, that I chimed in that it was a licensing issue and it would probably cost way more to buy the license than the game would ultimately make.

I don't think it's crushing hopes so much as injecting a dose of reality, something which fandom does not always have. *g*

got to agree. people have no idea how this stuff works. i would have said the same thing (except for the part where i don't have enough tolerance for other fans to join the community).

Yeah, pretty much. "Go away, kids! You bother me!" ::grump grump grump:: I had a perfectly lovely lunch today and I'm still crabby.

It's endemic. I snarled at my attorneys today that No, I wouldn't just steal images off the Internet. I thought we should actually pay for them since we're, you know, lawyers, representing, you know, a client with a budget.

Call me crazy and idealistic.
