Out of curiosity: Online communities poll

Sep 10, 2008 11:43

Every week, at least one person asks me if I'm on Facebook or LinkedIn. The answer, right now, is that I'm on LinkedIn, but not Facebook (not yet, anyway). It got me to wondering how prevalent the use of such sites is in my social circle, so ... time for a poll!

I don't know hope to use a feed aggregator or I probably would have one of those... Although I do use Stumbleupon but that's a huge time sink.

I have amyspace and linkedin profile but I never use them, I do use Facebook because it's an easy interface and good for reconnecting with old friends.

I tried twitter but didn't care for it.

i have a LinkedIn profile because someone leaving work asked a few years ago. i mostly use it to offer my network to jobhunting friends. i don't do anything more than accept requests and write the occasional recommendation.

i don't remember why i made a Facebook profile but i never log into it. anyone trying to contact me that way will be disappointed. Facebook gives me nothing i find useful or entertaining.

Twitter - i already have a blog and a bunch of people i read, i don't have time for more. what's Yammer?

As I understand it, Yammer is Twitter for B2B communications.
