Shiiiiiiiit. I had a broken toe and still did 3 weeks backpacking in Europe and walking the major cities at times with a 55kilo bag on my back. This guy is weak sauce. Terribly diluted weak sauce.

He's also old enough to be your father, Theo. I'm frustrated by the delay, but I do understand.

It's not like I'm methusaleh here.... gaelfarce July 21 2008, 18:13:26 UTC
He could be like 48 or so.

Broken toes suck but really there's nothing to be done about them other than jam a splint on there and tape that bad boy up.

But I defer...

I'll drop Jim a line later today. If he still needs a ride tomorrow, Dave and I can probably swing it while we're out running errands.

But I paid in cash paulcarp July 22 2008, 02:01:53 UTC
When I write a check, I assume that I am writing a guarantee that those funds will be there for a year. I'm not worried about uncashed checks.

However, it would be a relief to know all of your efforts have left the funds in the right place.

I wouldn't ever send cash (especially the amount I received, more than $100) in the mail. I took all the cash I received to the post office and purchased a money order for the amount I received. I wanted to make sure there was not even the appearance of impropriety. So all of that awaits deposit.

Yes: it would be a relief to know the money was in the bank. Jim seemed . . . put out when I asked him to please get it deposited as quickly as possible.
