Question for the Galactica/SciFi Intelligensia

So SciFi is running a Galactica marathon this coming Friday. (See schedule here.) Are these episodes all the second half of season 2? (I came to the show late; I've seen the first season and the first half of the second, care of markbourne.) Furthermore, since I haven't yet seen the second half of season 2, and since calling in sick that day for a TV

which eps are key to tape?

Absolutely essential are the last three, Downloaded and Lay Your Burdens Down 1&2.
The first three were rather unpopular with my friends since they have Kara and Lee acting erraticaly (though a recurring character gets killed in the tense "Sacrifice", setting up a new romantic complication)

iawtc; i was disappointed with the second half of the season until Downloaded (best of the group), and had a full upgrade to enraged by the end of the last episode. so much so that i'm still debating watching the upcoming season at all.
can't wait to discuss.

I have "The Christmas Invasion" on VHS, and (as you know, Bob) "New Earth" on a disc. You're welcome to both, of course. In fact, if your DVD player plays DVD-Rs, I can make a complete set of DW Season 2 just for you.

Looking at the episodes that will be on Friday, they are all from the season. There were quite a few episodes that were really disappointing. Black Market is mostly pointless except that I think that's the episode where Adama makes Lee the commander of the Pegasus. Scar is the most annoying episode of the whole season, I couldn't even watch it a second time. It was just stupid. Sacrifice is strange and I am still personally disappointed that they killed off the nice character instead of the most annoying one in the room. I would agree with the person who said that the main episodes to watch are Downloaded and Lay Down Your Burdens, 1&2. The rest of the episodes are weak and don't do much to move the overall storyline along.
I'm going to watch the new season but I'm still not sure that they didn't ruin the whole show in last season's climax. It remains to be seen if they jumped the shark.

I'm not sure if it's the same thing or not, but the iTunes store has "The story so far" up there for free. So you could probably download that. I know that I did, just haven't watched it yet. I own the mini-series, the first season and the first half of the second season on DVD but I suck as I haven't watched past the halfway mark through the first season.

I'm just on a hatred of TV jag for some reason. Sigh.
