Here's my TV blogging for the weekend. There may be more TV blogging after tomorrow night's premiere of Ghost Hunters.
The West Wing: Welcome to Wherever You Are: Sunday night's was a fast-moving episode but pretty superficial, very much a John Wells creation. Even as I watched it, I found myself thinking, "He's trying to be Robert Altman: all the

Dickens' fussy reluctance was quite adorable, I thought. :-)
I caught the second wolf mention from Gwyneth. Where was the first one? (Note: being a newbie to this show, I've no idea what the wolf thing is all about other than it's important and I should pay attention!)

Yes, but you have to very attentive - the Face of Boe makes as bit of background dialoge in "The End of the World".

oldmangrumpus is right: The Face of Boe makes a remark about a Bad Wolf Scenario. It's fleeting and you don't notice it unless you're paying careful attention (or you know to pay careful attention). But it comes back later. I shan't spoil it for you.

I loved the Dickens piece from the beginning -- but I love the actor that played Dickens and that sold me right off. The moments between Eccleston and Piper are beautiful -- they really work quite well together.
My only problem iwth Eccleston is that he bailed after a year. Bad Doctor. No Cookie.

Do what I did: Order them from Amazon.ca. The Canadian prices should give you enough of a break that you won't feel the shipping costs.

Well, look at it from his perspective: He already had a pretty respectable career as an actor. And every actor who'd played the Doctor before him got painted with so broad a brush that getting other parts was pretty difficult afterward. I think he figured he'd quit after he developed the name recognition but before he got so solidly typecast that it would be impossible for him to do other work. Sad as I was to see him go, I totally understand it. And by classic series standards, he's stayed for two seasons, since back then a season was only six episodes. I miss him, but he's got my support in the end.
