SIFF: Mr. Holmes

Saw "Mr. Holmes" on Friday night. Starring Ian McKellan as the eponymous detective in his senior years, it is a charming, sometimes tough but mostly gentle film. It was a delight to watch McKellan bring Sherlock to life, and to bring a warmth and thoughtfulness to the character. The film is more meditative than action-oriented (as one might expect
