Theater + Locus Awards Weekend

Well, it was really Locus Awards Day for me, given that I didn't attend the Friday night party, but it's always touted as a weekend so there you are. I went to the theater on Friday night instead, so that's where I'll begin.

That's quite a list of inductees to the SF Hall of Fame, and I'm particularly happy to see Leigh Brackett honored. Huzzah!

Luke has praised We Are All Completely Beside Ourselves highly as well.

In the past, they've typically chosen four annually. This year there was a new category, the Curators' Choice--chosen by the EMP curators (nut just Brooks Peck but all the curators who do work connected to the SFM) as an addition. I don't remember which of the inductees was that choice, though.

It is a great list. I was delighted to see Bracket there, too--but also Miyazaki. He's a master fantasist and I'm pleased to see him honored this way.
