Changes. Exchanges. Progress.

There's a lot of change around here right now. Yesterday I said, "I'm freaked out about getting the new appliances. It's not rational and I don't entirely understand it, but what should be a good and cool thing feels scary and disruptive." You're not the only one. We just had to get rid of a washing machine, a filing cabinet and will soon have a lot more disruption as I have to move all the books in this house around to make room for elderly parents. I find it very disruptive and stressful and I get attached to things, too.

Ugh, I hate having strangers come into my home for things like this, or in my case, repairs & maintenance. This one thing for you will be completed soon, at least. And how exciting to have these new things that you selected! I bet they're lovely, all those pristine surfaces.

I keep reminding myself that it will be cool to have new appliances that less expensive to run and that, in new colors, will give a different look to the room. I'm second-guessing all my decisions. Predictably, it's making me crazy.
