There's a lot of change around here right now. Yesterday I said, "I'm freaked out about getting the new appliances. It's not rational and I don't entirely understand it, but what should be a good and cool thing feels scary and disruptive." Today, as good and productive as it was (and it was), was the start of that

You're not the only one. We just had to get rid of a washing machine, a filing cabinet and will soon have a lot more disruption as I have to move all the books in this house around to make room for elderly parents. I find it very disruptive and stressful and I get attached to things, too.

You remember when I moved from my old place to here, how freaked out I was just before moving? Well, yeah, I do sympathize.

Ugh, I hate having strangers come into my home for things like this, or in my case, repairs & maintenance. This one thing for you will be completed soon, at least. And how exciting to have these new things that you selected! I bet they're lovely, all those pristine surfaces.

I keep reminding myself that it will be cool to have new appliances that less expensive to run and that, in new colors, will give a different look to the room. I'm second-guessing all my decisions. Predictably, it's making me crazy.
