Well, the good news about the TEC coin design challenge is that you are in a position to make sure that the selected design represents science and SF well, rather than merely submitting a good design and potentially seeing it lose to a design with eye-rolling science or SF.

(I also thought about tongue-in-cheekishly suggesting the bat lamp, which I have not only seen in Rejuvenation's catalog but have actually seen installed -- at a (very good) restaurant in Minneapolis called Hell's Kitchen.)
