Sunrise, Cats, a Scare, and . . . Entrails

The sun's coming up much earlier than it used to. Cats are light-activated. This means that as the sun rises, so do Zeke and Sophie and--inevitably--so must I. Zeke in particular is very insistent that I must get-up get-up get-up to feed and play with him. This morning, instead of the constant meow-meow-meow of Zeke's morning serenade, I awakened

Zeke being missing reminds me of the morning Nomi went into the girls' room and reported that Muffin wasn't in her bed. We panicked and ran around the apartment. It turned out that she had been lying at the head of her bed, under her pillow.

Be happy they don't go outside. I'd happily trade your memory of Zeke watching Entrail TV for mine of Mouth slurping down a vole like a strand of spaghetti so I'd let him into the house.

I was about to leave a comment very similar to varina8's, above. Skippy (Jane's cat) left plenty of "rat pants" around the house.
