Transit Day + Amsterdam Day 1

I spent Monday morning with Monika while skidspoppe went to work. Monika kindly accompanied me--in the pouring rain--to the post office to mail home some stuff and to a couple of shops to do a little early holiday shopping. Ship passing in the night--we will be in Amsterdam Thursday morning. Granted, just for a plane layover, but it's a three hour layover, so we'll at least get to know the airport well.
